RFID / EID Scanning System Setup for Saleyards

New Yards-Rail Heights

Correct rail height measurements are required. Only one set of holes at the top and one set at the bottom of the Antenna are required to be used. Holes to be in centre of rails. See bottom left of diagram.

Existing Yards-Rail Heights

Two levels of holes are available on Antenna to allow for existing yards or loading ramps. See bottom left of diagram.

Correct Side for Antenna Position

As NLIS tags go on the offside of the animal, it is recommended the Antenna be placed on the offside of the race.

The Antenna must be fitted to timber rails

Steel posts are acceptable, but not a full steel frame or sheet steel. This applies only to the panel on which the antenna reader is attached.
