Antenna Position

Correct rail measurements are required. Only one set of holes at the top and one set at the bottom of the Antenna are required to be used. Holes to be in the centre of rails. See diagram below.

Four sets of holes are available on antenna to allow for variations in existing yards or loading ramps. See diagram below.

As NLIS tags go on the offside ear of the animal.

It is recommended the antenna be placed on the offside of the race

Recommended Race Width = 710mm maximum

The antenna must be fitted to timber rails. Steel posts are acceptable, but not a full steel frame or sheet steel. This applies only to the panel to which the antenna reader is attached.

4 Bolts supplied must be mounted in two top and two bottom holes.
Bottom of Antenna to be mounted 300 mm from ground where animal actually stands.

Antenna bolt hole spaces are marked on diagram above.

Holes are pre-drilled in antenna.

DO NOT DRILL HOLES IN ANTENNA YOURSELF

After being recorded and weighed, the first animal is attended to.	The second animal is being automatically recorded and weighed.	The third animal is held in the holding bay. This saves time and prevents two animals jumping on the scales together.
